I loved the look of the turbo but having owned an ’80s era turbo, I was done with the lag. The S2 was the perfect car and I daily’d it for 3 years and drove it across country once. It was a wonderful car and it never let me down. It had just enough power and torque to be able to get the rear axle to move around under acceleration and was light enough to do the same under braking. These are also rare with less than 2,000 being imported to the states. If you are thinking that you want a 944 Turbo, I would say to re-consider the S2 coupe. It's hard to imagine more car for $18k.
