Why It’s Curated: This 1988 BMW M3 is for sale in Kirkland, Washington. I used to have an e30 M3. It was a great car that handled well, was fun to drive and very usable. But, it had one critical flaw, no torque. That was fine on the track but very hard to have fun on the road. This example solves that issue with a S52, inline 6, out of an e36 M3. The owner built this car up from a roller and did it right, with Ground Control suspension (many have the opinion that GC is the best suspension for an e30 M3), the e36 M3 engine, upgraded brakes, and more. See details below. If you want to daily this, the interior could use some work, like a headliner, but if you want a track day car, this might be ready to go. The owner believes that the car was salvaged in it’s past but the current WA title does not reflect that. Please ask us any questions you have about this BMW via the contact seller form and be sure to view all the images in the gallery above.

Modifications:
Bought this as a roller in 2016 from a garage in Seattle. Over the course of a few years I restored the mechanics of the car and modernized it with a 1998 S52 engine, Ground Control coil-over suspension, 135i brakes, z4 short shift kit, new wheels with Michelin pilot sport tires, fully custom straight pipe exhaust, OEM front bumper kit and more.

Always starts right up and is incredibly fun to drive. Aesthetically speaking the exterior has a few minor dents and dings but is straight as an arrow. The interior is partially restored but needs a headliner, a radio and general restoration. Right now it's primarily a drivers car but it can be what you make of it. Incredibly fun and gets lots of attention from the BMW crowd. Clean WA title in hand, but I have very little information on the history of the car. Apparently it was salvaged at some point in the distant past, but you'd never know it.

Mechanical Functions:
2 Wheel Drive
Adjustable Suspension

Anything Else We Should Know:
Mechanically the car is excellent, practically new. The aesthetic will need work if the buyer is interested in that. The dents/dings/scratches are minor but they are there.
While the car was apparently salvaged many years ago, I do have a clean WA title. I don't know much about the history of the car prior to my purchase.
