Summary: Ground up, frame-off total restoration - rebuilt engine, transmission, other drivetrain components, fresh paint and interior, and more
Engine, Transmission, Differentials:
- Original rebuilt AMC 304 upgraded with high lift roller cam, roller lifters and rockers, HEI distributor and Holley 2bbl carburetor.
- Original Dana 30 rebuilt front end. New bearings, seals
- Original Dana 44 rebuilt rear end with new ring and pinion, Spartan locker, new bearings and seals and new 11" brakes and hardware
- Original rebuilt T15 3 speed transmission
- Original Dana 20 rebuilt transfer case with bronze bushings and Heim joints added to shifting mechanism
- Engine Rebuild Notes: Cylinder’s have original bore with a documented 82,882 miles on them. Very clean with no scratches, marring or lip at the top of the bore. They were honed with original pistons and new rings installed. New rod bearings, cam bearings, and main bearings. Crank was not reground but measured to be within specifications. Bearing clearances measured with Plastigauge also within specifications. Heads reconditioned and new double springs installed to accept .475 lift of new roller cam. New roller lifters and rockers.
- Other Mechanical Rebuild Specifics: New mechanical fuel pump. New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing. New water pump. Flywheel not ground. New starter, timing gears and chain. Reconditioned oil pump(new gears and seals).
Chassis, Suspension, Steering, Brakes:
- Frame was removed, sand blasted, inspected for cracks and defects and then primed and painted. There was 1 small crack in the front of the frame that was repaired with welding and a plate welded on top of that.
- 4" Rugged Ridge lift kit
- Power steering
- Tilt steering column: Steering column is a chrome tilt GM style aftermarket
- Power brakes added
- 11" brakes and hardware: Replaced all brake lines except the one going between the new rear master cylinders. All new brakes and hardware on all 4 corners.
