Why It’s Curated: This is such a statement overland vehicle that would be incredible to put it through its paces crossing a desert, heading to the ski hill, or finding that surf spot in Baja that you just haven’t been able to get to before. Plus, it has a purposeful and functional interior to boot.

This 1964 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 404 is said to have been previously used by the German armed forces before being imported to the US in 2005 and acquired by the current owner in 2010. Finished in gray over beige fabric upholstery, the truck has been modified as an expedition-style camper and is powered by a 2.2L inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission with two reverse gears, a dual-range transfer case, and portal axles. The camper cabin features a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, storage cabinets, and a dining table and seating area that fold into a bed. Additional equipment includes a 250-watt solar system, dual 12-volt deep-cycle AGM batteries, a Sigtronics intercom system, 24-volt ComeUp front winch, electronic fuel pump and ignition system, a roof rack, flip-down DVD player, back-up camera, auxiliary lights, and rear pintle and receiver hitches. This Unimog camper is being offered with spare parts, two shop manuals, and a clean California title.

The custom dining area features a collapsible table and custom black trimmed benches that can be folded into a sleeping area, as well as a flip-down DVD player and a Pioneer stereo. The electrical system includes a roof-mounted 250-watt solar panel, dual 12-volt AGM deep-cycle batteries, and dual 24-volt to 12-volt converters.
