Grounded launches electric, Class B, Transit Camper
Detroit-based startup Grounded RV has unveiled the G1, an affordable electric camper van based on the Ford E-Transit platform. It offers customizable interiors, with a modular design, and includes features like a bed, kitchen, outdoor shower, and more. The G1's range, based on the E-Transit, is around 108 miles, likely too short for most users, but a G2 version with 250 miles of range is expected soon. It's equipped with a 650-watt solar system and proprietary software for remote control. The G1's design draws inspiration from Scandinavian aesthetics and looks good, as you would expect. Pricing starts at $108,000, making it competitive with other camper van options, and a monthly subscription model is available for $2,300. Click this link for more details and photos.
