Few FJ40s present with this level of considered, methodical restoration work -- and this one benefits from two distinct phases of care. The foundation was laid by VooDoo Cruisers, who sand-blasted the body to bare metal, primed it, and repainted it in single-stage acrylic in the period-correct Sky Blue Code T854. The factory steel wheels were similarly sand-blasted and refinished in VooDoo Grey. A 2024 refresh brought the mechanical and comfort details up to a high standard: Bilstein long-travel shocks, a leveled suspension with greaseable front shackles and extended rear shackles, disc brake front end with braided stainless steel lines and Warn premium hubs, and five BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires in 33x10.5x15. Inside, Procar Elite seats with adjustable lumbar replace the fronts, a Vintage Air Gen IV HVAC system handles climate, Koito LED headlights and fog lamps improve visibility, and an ARB air compressor rounds out the practical upgrades. The odometer shows 80 miles, unverified. This suits a discerning collector who wants a driver-quality FJ40 that's been thoughtfully sorted rather than trailer-kept.

Check out the pictures in the gallery & use the contact form to get in touch with us and the seller to ask questions and/or make an offer for this vehicle.

Vehicle Details:
Year: 1977
Make: Toyota
Model: Landcruiser FJ40
Drive: 4X4
Miles: 80
Mileage Verification: True Miles Unknown
Fuel Type: Gasoline
Transmission: Manual (3 Pedals)
Number of Forward Gears: 4
Engine: 2F in-line 6 cylinder
Exterior Color: Sky Blue Code T854
Interior Color: Black
State of Registration: Florida
Vehicle Location: Orlando, Florida
VIN: Available Upon Request
Title: Clean

Details:

Engine & Transmission:
Engine Modifications: No
Transmission Modifications: No

Drivetrain, Suspension, Tires & Brakes:
Drivetrain Modifications: No
Suspension Modifications: Yes
axles with 4:10 gear ratio, and disc brake front end. By 1977, the second-generation 2F engine—a robust 4.2-liter inline six producing 135 horsepower—powered the model alongside a four-speed transmission introduced in 1975. The FJ40 came in multiple wheelbase configurations: short (90-inch), medium, and long (116-inch), each suited to different markets and applications. Available as soft-top or hardtop, and in petrol or diesel variants, the FJ40 occupied a unique market position between the Jeep CJ and heavier Land Rover, becoming indispensable in remote regions worldwide. Its rugged simplicity—no power steering, no air conditioning—embodied back-to-basics off-road philosophy. Production spanned a quarter-century, ending in 1984, cementing the FJ40 as an icon of off-road heritage.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0812/8095/8783/files/IMG_8824_7c7de36c-fb55-4dbc-bd56-acd462aab541.jpg?v=1788293295
