Why It’s Curated: This 1989 Porsche 944 is for sale in Lakewood, Colorado. The first real car I ever bought was an ’89 944 S2 coupe. I loved the look of the turbo but having owned an ’80s era turbo, I was done with the lag. The S2 was the perfect car and I daily’d it for 3 years and drove it across country once. It was a wonderful car and it never let me down. It had just enough power and torque to be able to get the rear axle to move around under acceleration and was light enough to do the same under braking. S2 coupes are rare, jut sunder 2,000 were sold in the US and this looks like a nice example. If you are thinking that you want a 944 Turbo, I would say to re-consider the S2 coupe.
