Our Take:

The FJ 60 is one of our favorite classic SUVs.  Something about the styling just looks right.  We prefer the round lights on the 60 to the square lights on the 62, but understand why you might want the automatic transmission in the 62.  This one looks great and a lot of work has been done to it, see below.  One owner for the last 34 years!

Vehicle:

This beautifully maintained 1985 Land Cruiser is a classic! We purchased this vehicle in 1989 with less than 30,000 miles and we have lovingly cared for it since that time. It’s in great shape, but at 80yrs it’s time for me to hand it off to a new owner.

The vehicle has never been in an accident. Maintenance has been consistent and I have records to share. There are a few minor dings and scratches consistent with its age.

Less than 232,000 miles on chassis.

Less than 14k miles on completely rebuilt Land Cruiser 4.2 Liter, In-Line 6 cylinder engine; standard shift; all paperwork & invoices available for review.

In 2017 and at 218,496 miles:
2F 6 cyl machine work; complete engine rebuild
New hoses all around, gaskets, electricals.
Water pump, clutch kit.
Surface manifold.

In 2022 at 229,400 miles: New Steering Box

In 2023 at 231,000 miles
Complete replacement of muffler system with all-Toyota parts including back exhaust, gaskets, cushions.
New Toyota shocks including new Shackle Spring Bushings and Shackles.
4 wheel alignment.

Between 2004 and 2013 and between 182,000 to 202,000 miles:
Overhauled long block; replaced ex and intake manifold; replaced EGR Pipe.
Rear Differential-replaced 3rd member, rear differential housing;
New Radiator; Air pump assembly and belts; Rebuilt Carburetor.
Replaced clutch master cylinder; New Starter; New steering pump.
